Here’s an awesome bucket list for 2027 with over 50 ideas that you can pick from to make the year fun, memorable, and a little adventurous.

There was a time when the idea of 2027 seemed so futuristic.
And yet, here we are, already talking about the things we want to do, see, experience, and become in this brand-new year.
Last year, I made a bucket list for 2026, and it helped me live the year so much better than I would have without it. So, obviously, I had to bring it back for 2027.
Because while resolutions and goals are important, you don’t want your whole year to become a big self-improvement project.
Your year should be made up of stories, random plans, beautiful places, new books, long conversations, and cozy weekends.
You want adventures that make you slightly nervous, and ordinary days that end up feeling like movie scenes.
That’s what this 2027 bucket list is going to be about.
There are some big ideas here, but there are also plenty of things you can do without booking a plane ticket.
Pick the ones that make something inside you come alive, and then actually do them!

Here are 51 fun, meaningful, and slightly adventurous bucket list ideas to make 2027 a year worth remembering.
51 Bucket List Ideas For 2027
1. Make a 2027 playlist
The first thing you need to do this year is create an empty playlist and call it ‘2027.’
You can only add new songs you discover and love that get released during the year.
Keep adding to it as the months go by without worrying about genres or whether the songs go together.
By December, you’ll have a soundtrack made entirely from the music that came out during your year.
And years later, pressing play will take you straight back to 2027!
2. Take a trip with your best friend
I am putting this right in second place because I think everyone should take at least one proper trip with a close friend.
Pick somewhere you’ve both been sending each other reels of, save some money, make the itinerary, and finally go.
You can eat questionable road-trip snacks, take hundreds of pictures, get lost at least once, and come home with stories you’ll still be telling when you’re 70.
3. Read a book that’s outside your usual taste

If you always read romance, pick up a murder mystery.
If you’re permanently hanging out in the fantasy aisle, try a memoir, historical fiction, or even a fascinating nonfiction book.
Reading outside your usual genre is almost like temporarily borrowing somebody else’s brain.
Worst case? You hate it and go back to your dragons and morally grey men.
Best case? You discover an entirely new obsession that might end up defining your reading era in 2027.
4. Find your signature cafe
You know those people who walk into a cafe and the staff already knows their order? Yeah, become one of them in 2027.
Find a cozy place near you with good coffee, comfortable seats, and an atmosphere you love.
And go there to read, journal, work, or simply sit by yourself every now and then.
Having familiar places in your city can make life very wholesome, which is a good energy to nurture throughout the year.
5. Watch the sunrise from your dream spot
What’s a place you’ve always imagined watching the sunrise from, even if you don’t think about it a lot?
It might be a beach, a mountain top, a cozy green field, or a bench under a tree in autumn.
In 2027, you’re going to bring your vision to life. No matter how much you have to plan to make it happen, do it.
And once you’re there, sit down in quiet with a coffee flask in hand, and watch the sun rising from your dream spot.
Worth losing a little sleep over, I promise.
6. Plan a whole day around every new season

Whenever you enter a new season, spend one full day celebrating it.
For autumn, you could bake something cinnamon-y, wear your coziest sweater, go on a foliage walk, watch a fall movie, and end the night with hot chocolate.
For summer, you could go swimming, have lemonade, wear a sundress, eat ice cream, and watch the sunset.
Basically, become embarrassingly enthusiastic about every new season for 24 hours.
It’s a great idea to appreciate the changing state of nature, and also reset your energy for the new season.
7. Write a short story just for yourself
You don’t need to be a writer to write something.
Come up with a character, give them a problem, and spend days creating their little world.
Don’t think about whether it’s good or not. You’re not publishing it, and you’re not showing it to anyone.
You’re simply allowing yourself to create something because you have an imagination, and that’s reason enough.
8. Learn how to navigate without Google Maps
I’m embarrassingly dependent on Google Maps, and I have a feeling I’m not alone.
So, here’s a surprisingly useful challenge for 2027: Get better at finding your way around.
Learn the major roads in your city, pay attention to landmarks, understand basic directions, and occasionally try reaching familiar places without always opening your phone.
Our ancestors crossed oceans using stars. We can probably find the bookstore.
9. See a natural phenomenon in real life

Pick one natural phenomenon you’ve only ever seen through a screen and make it your mission to witness it yourself.
You can go for:
- The Northern Lights
- Bioluminescent water
- A meteor shower
- Cherry blossoms
- Fireflies
- A sea of clouds
- A spectacular autumn forest
It’ll be so magical seeing the planet do something extraordinary right in front of you.
Exactly the kind of memory a bucket list is made for!
10. Create a personal uniform for the year
Not a literal uniform, obviously.
I mean finding a combination of clothes that makes you feel really like yourself.
Maybe it’s jeans, a white shirt, and gold jewelry. Or flowy dresses and pretty sandals. Or oversized sweaters, boots, and messy hair.
Figure out your colors, silhouettes, accessories, and go-to combinations.
Getting dressed in 2027 will be so much easier once you know what makes you feel good.
11. Watch a long anime series
I don’t watch a lot of anime, but it’s purely joyful to get invested in a really long series.
You can pick One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, or Hunter x Hunter, and let yourself slowly make your way through it over a couple of months.
With so much entertainment becoming shorter and quicker these days, it’ll be fun to have hundreds of episodes waiting for you.
You’ll get an entire world to escape into, long enough that the characters will start feeling like your friends.
12. Attend a live concert

What’s a yearly bucket list without a live concert?
You can attend a famous concert (like Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Unraveled’ tour), or go to a less-crowded concert just for the vibe.
Music fest, private performance, instrumental concert — it all counts.
As long as there’s good live music and you come back feeling with a head full of tunes, you can cross this off your list.
13. Create a memory box for 2027
Get a pretty box at the beginning of the year and start throwing pieces of your life into it.
Concert tickets, cafe receipts, postcards, dried flowers, tiny notes, photographs, boarding passes, birthday cards — anything that reminds you of a good day.
Don’t organize it too much (chaos can be pretty, too).
On December 31, you’ll get to open the box and relive all the moments you would’ve otherwise forgotten.
14. Become really knowledgeable about one random subject
Pick something you’re super curious about and spend the year casually becoming that person who knows everything about it.
Could be mythology, astronomy, flowers, architecture, coffee, a language, psychology, or anything at all.
Read books, watch documentaries, and listen to podcasts.
You don’t need a practical reason to learn something. Being interested in the world is reason enough.
15. Spend a relaxing weekend in a cabin

I’ve always wanted to have a weekend getaway in a cabin, and 2027 is finally my year to make it happen.
If that’s been your dream too, then add this idea in. Pick a cabin somewhere cold, quiet, and surrounded by trees.
Pack books, warm socks, your favorite snacks, and a cozy blanket.
Make coffee in the morning, go on long walks, cook something comforting, and sit outside when it gets dark.
When you go back to your regular life, you’ll be recharged, well-rested, and much closer to yourself.
16. Learn to bake one thing people start requesting from you
Imagine having a dessert that’s simply known as your thing. If that sounds fun, then make it happen.
You can learn to make really good brownies, apple pie, cinnamon rolls, chocolate-chip cookies, or banana bread.
Just pick something and keep making it until you’ve perfected your recipe.
Then bring it to birthdays, dinner parties, holidays, and random Sunday get-togethers.
Being known for an excellent dessert is the kind of reputation I fully support.
17. Have a completely unplanned day every month
This might be terrifying if you’re a planner, which is precisely why you should try it.
Once a month, wake up without an itinerary and let the day unfold based entirely on what sounds good next.
If you want to have breakfast outside, go. If you want to watch the Batman trilogy all day with ice cream, do it.
Or if your friend asks if you’re free, then get together with them and just go with the flow.
For one day of the month, stop managing life and simply follow it, and see what it’s like to not be so serious about life.
18. Make a new friend as an adult

Friendships become really difficult once we’re no longer thrown into classrooms with the same people every day.
So, make it an actual goal for 2027 to find a new friend.
Talk to someone at your workout class, join a book club, or message that girl you always have nice conversations with.
Say yes when somebody invites you somewhere.
You don’t need twenty new friends. One wonderful new person entering your life would make this goal completely worth it.
19. Create a Sunday tradition
Pick a small activity for Sunday that you can actually keep doing all year.
You can go out for coffee and a long walk, or listen to a whole album while cleaning your room.
You can cook dinner with your family, call your best friend, visit a bookstore, bake something, or have an everything-shower-and-movie evening.
Life gets better when you have things waiting for you on the calendar, and Sunday is the perfect day to do that.
It’ll also help you avoid thinking about Monday and actually enjoy all weekend.
20. Go on a trip without trying to see everything
Pick a beautiful place and resist the urge to squeeze 15 attractions into three days.
Wake up slowly, walk around, sit in cafes, revisit places you liked, and actually experience where you are.
You might technically see less, but trust me, you’ll remember more.
21. Learn how to make your favorite coffee shop drink at home

Pick the drink you order way too often and figure out how to make a really good version of it yourself.
Get the right ingredients, buy a cute mug, and practice until your kitchen feels like your favorite cafe.
You could even learn a few seasonal drinks while you’re at it.
Homemade pumpkin spice latte on a chilly October morning? Yes, please.
22. Discover a new cozy show
In the summer of 2026, I discovered a cozy show called Everwood.
It reminded me how lovely it is to have a show you genuinely look forward to returning to.
So, make it a mission to find a cozy fictional world to escape into this year. You can never have enough comfort shows, right?
23. Learn one dance properly
Pick an actual dance style and learn enough of it that you can confidently say you know it.
Salsa, ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, belly dancing — practice whatever excites you.
Apart from being fun, dancing is an amazing way to become more comfortable and expressive in your own body.
It also makes for a good workout session
24. Have a picnic somewhere pretty

Pack sandwiches, fruit, drinks, and something sweet, then head somewhere beautiful with your favorite people.
It can be a quiet riverside, hilltop, garden, or even a pretty patch of grass you’ve driven past a hundred times.
Spread out your blanket, put your phones away for a while, and stay until the daylight starts dimming.
25. Create a reading corner you actually use
If you love reading, give the habit a proper home this year.
Find a corner near a window, add a comfortable chair, blanket, warm lamp, tiny side table, and somewhere to keep your current reads.
Then make a rule that this spot isn’t for scrolling or working.
It’s for books, tea, rainy afternoons, and temporarily disappearing into fictional people’s problems.
26. Watch the ‘eclipse of the century’
Okay, this is one 2027 event you absolutely need to put on your calendar.
On August 2, a total solar eclipse will cross parts of southern Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, with totality lasting over six minutes (that’s crazy long).
If you’re nowhere near the eclipse path, you can still follow the event online and watch live coverage.
I mean, it’s not often that we get to witness something nicknamed the eclipse of the century, right?
27. Buy yourself flowers every month of the year

Don’t buy yourself flowers because somebody forgot to buy them for you or because it’s your birthday.
Do it because you love yourself enough to gift yourself flowers randomly.
Once a month, bring home a bouquet, arrange it nicely, and put it somewhere you’ll see often.
It’s a pretty way to make your everyday space feel more alive and lovely.
28. Go somewhere by yourself at night
If you usually retreat home as soon as your plans fall through, take yourself out one evening (with a safe plan).
Go see a movie, browse a bookstore that’s open late, have dinner somewhere cozy, and attend a show.
There’s something strangely empowering about realizing the night doesn’t belong only to couples and groups of friends. It belongs to yourself, too.
29. Plan a really, really fun birthday
Even if you’re someone who normally doesn’t like their birthday, for once, care enough to make it really fun.
Take a trip, throw a themed party, book an experience you’ve always wanted to try, wear an outfit you feel amazing in, and order the cake you really want.
You’re only going to turn this particular age once. Might as well make a story out of it.
30. Find a new physical activity that you enjoy

This year, experiment with workouts until you find something that makes moving your body feel fun.
Try things like swimming, badminton, hiking, skating, dance classes, cycling, Pilates, and tennis.
Finding movement you enjoy can completely change your relationship with fitness. It’ll make it easy to tick off whatever health goals you’re setting this year.
31. Always have a morning routine
If I had to pick just one thing to stick to all year long, it would be to have a morning routine.
How you start your day defines your current life. Giving your mornings a structure makes you calmer, more disciplined, more productive, and healthier.
It’s okay if you don’t keep the same morning habits all year or wake up at the same time every day (I don’t either).
But no matter what mornings look like, give the first 30 or so minutes to yourself.
Have a glass of water, do your skincare, sit in silence for five minutes just stretching your neck and rolling your shoulders, and have your coffee while reading a book.
This might just be the most important thing you add on your bucket list.
32. Try a completely different look for a day
If you’ve been dressing and doing your hair the same way for years, play around a little.
Try red lipstick, wear the dress you’ve always thought was too much, curl your hair, try a different aesthetic, and wear heels somewhere ordinary.
You don’t have to permanently rebrand yourself afterward.
It’ll just be fun to tap into another version of you hiding underneath your usual choices.
33. Go on a trip inspired by a book or movie

This might be one of my favorite ideas on the entire list.
You have to visit someplace that a story made you fall in love with.
It could be Scotland after reading a fantasy novel, New York because of your favorite rom-com, or a cute small town that gives you serious Gilmore Girls vibes.
Basically, let fiction plan one of your real-life adventures, and show up in your main character energy.
34. Watch the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup
Even if you’re not usually a football person, major sporting events are really fun to get swept up in.
The 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup will take place in Brazil from June 24 to July 25, with 32 countries competing.
Pick a team to support, watch some of the big matches with your friends, and definitely tune in for the final.
35. Start collecting something
Every time you go out or have a memorable day, collect something from it to store.
It can be postcards, pressed flowers, leaves, magnets, matchboxes, bookmarks, tiny art prints, coins, or whatever feels like you.
By the end of 2027, you’ll have a physical collection of places you’ve been and lives you’ve briefly stepped into.
Much more interesting than another folder of photos you never open again. It’ll be just for your eyes and hands.
36. Make something you’ve always bought

Pick one thing you normally grab from a store and learn how to make it from scratch.
It can be bread, pasta, jam (this is what I’m going for), candles, body scrub, granola, or a knitted scarf.
Just think how satisfying it’ll be to use it and realize, “Wow, I made that.” Major cottagecore vibes!
37. Spend an unproductive rainy day
Whenever you get a wonderfully gloomy, rainy day at home, don’t try to turn it into a productive reset.
Make tea, read in bed, watch an old movie, take a nap, listen to the rain, and make something yummy (like noodle soup).
You are allowed to have days that produce absolutely nothing except a happier you, and rainy days are best for that.
38. Go stargazing somewhere properly dark
City skies are fine, but have you ever looked at the stars somewhere with almost no light pollution?
If not, then add it to your list.
Drive somewhere away from the city, take blankets and something warm to drink, lie down, and just gaze at the stars.
Soft songs that sing about the stars and love are most welcome.
39. Start a friendship tradition

Create one thing that you and your closest friend can do every single year.
Maybe it’s a weekend trip every October, a fancy Christmas dinner, matching birthday photos, an annual sleepover, or going somewhere new every summer.
Life will always keep changing. People will move, get busy, fall in love, switch jobs, and build different routines.
But having one tradition that keeps bringing you and your friends back together will be pretty special.
40. Make one room feel completely like you
Don’t decorate the room according to what’s trending, or what Pinterest says your room should look like. Make it feel like you.
Hang pictures of you with your friends, display your books, and frame art that makes you happy.
Add weird objects you’ve collected, colors you love, cozy lamps, flowers, candles, and whatever else feels right.
I’d suggest tackling this activity earlier in the year. The sooner you get this done, the more months you’ll have to spend time in it.
41. Do something you’ve always thought you weren’t ‘the kind of person’ to do
The older we get, the more rigid we tend to become about trying new things. We start saying ‘Not my thing’ a lot.
This year, I want to break this habit and try something that I’ve always thought I was not the kind of person to do.
If you like the idea, feel free to steal.
You can go camping, sing karaoke, take a solo trip, wear a bikini, join a running club, learn to surf, or go to a fancy restaurant alone.
We accidentally build identities around ourselves and then spend years obeying them.
I’m not adventurous. I’m shy. I’m not athletic. I don’t do things alone.
Maybe 2027 is the year you prove one of those sentences wrong.
42. Take a train journey just for the experience

It’s wonderfully old-fashioned to travel by train when you could’ve taken a quicker means.
Choose a scenic journey, get yourself a window seat, bring a book and snacks, and watch the world change outside.
Mountains would obviously make this wayy better.
And unlike flying, the journey itself will be one of the things you remember about the trip.
43. Start learning a language on Duolingo
I was actively learning Turkish in 2025, but then dropped it.
In the last few months of 2026, I picked it up again, and I want to carry it forward into 2027.
A new language isn’t just a shiny skill for your resume.
It broadens your mind, makes you more interested in a culture different than yours, and gives you a new perspective on things.
So, if you’ve ever wanted to embrace any language, then start learning it on Duolingo in 2027.
All you have to do is show up for a lesson every day (even for five minutes). By the end of the year, you’ll know a lot more of the language than you do now.
44. Make a family recipe book
Ask your parents, grandparents, aunts, or whoever cooks in your family for the recipes everyone loves. And actually write them down.
Add little notes about who makes what best, memories connected to certain dishes, and even photos if you want.
Recipes have a funny way of becoming part of a family’s history, and someday you’ll be really glad you bothered to preserve yours.
45. Throw a theme party

Me and my bestie recently got together for a little whimsycore party, and it was so much fun that I know I want more theme parties in my future.
You could throw one for Easter, celebrate fall with a cozy seasonal party, or pick a random theme just because you love it (like a Victorian tea party).
Your guest list can be as long or as short as you want. A party for two is still a party!
46. Learn how to take beautiful photos
Just learn how to capture your life better.
Understand lighting, composition, angles, and the basic settings on whatever camera you use (even if that’s just your phone).
Then photograph ordinary things and make them look beautiful, like your friends laughing, your dog sleeping, rainy windows, family dinners, trips, and messy kitchens.
Future you will care about those photos more than you realize.
47. See something in nature that leaves you speechless
Everyone should have at least one oh wow moment with nature every year.
Here are some ideas:
- See a waterfall in person.
- Stand underneath a sky full of stars.
- Walk through a forest in autumn.
- See snow-covered mountains.
- Visit the ocean at sunrise.
Pick something in nature that feels extraordinary to you and make an effort to experience it.
The world is far too beautiful to only look at it through screens.
48. Set a realistic reading goal

I can’t imagine having a year without a reading goal. Not only does it give you something fun to do in your free time, but it can also define your whole year.
For 2027, set a realistic reading goal. You can even make it 27 books if you like matching up the numbers like me.
I am setting a goal to read 50 books this year. Let me know your number in the comment box before you go!
49. Have a phone-free day every month
The original iPhone will turn 20 in the fall of 2027. To me, that feels both impossible and mildly horrifying.
Instead of letting your phone rule more of your life this year, I suggest creating better boundaries.
Every month, put your phone away and stay in your actual life.
Cook breakfast, go outside, read a book, clean while listening to music (that you have downloaded beforehand), meet someone, write in your journal, and take a walk.
The day will be much longer when you’re not constantly disappearing into a tiny glowing rectangle.
50. Do one thing that gives you butterflies
I am not talking about dread or danger here. I am talking about an experience that will give you butterflies.
You can go on the date, send your work somewhere, sign up for the class, get on stage, travel somewhere new, introduce yourself, or apply for the opportunity you think you’re underqualified for.
Choose something that makes you think, “I really want to do this” and “Oh God” at the same time.
It’ll make you bolder and more likely to act on your curiosities.
51. Take a fitness challenge

And finally, finish a health challenge.
A year is a long time, enough for you to work on your health and strengthen your body.
And what better way to make it happen than to take a challenge?
You can pick up the 75-hard or the 75-soft challenge. Or you can try one of Chloe Ting’s infamous challenges.
You can take the winter arc challenge at the end of the year, or create your own set of rules for a personalized challenge.
And if all that sounds too tiring, then just challenge yourself to take 10k steps every day for a month. Always works for me.

Make 2027 A Year You’ll Want To Remember
You definitely don’t need to complete all 51 things on this 2027 bucket list.
My main purpose behind putting together this list is to remind you that another year isn’t just 365 days to work, worry, scroll, repeat, and get through.
It’s 365 days in which you can go somewhere you’ve never been, meet someone new, and learn something random.
You can create traditions, take funny pictures, get lost, make things, read books, spend more time outside, and collect stories you’ll tell for years.
So, pick the ideas that made you feel excited while reading this post, and add some ideas that are completely your own.
And then put a few of them on the calendar for 2027 before life gets busy and you forget.
Here’s to making it a good year with loads of fun, joy, memories, and adventures.
