Here are 100 bucket list ideas for women that will prompt you to be free, happy, and live a life that you can be proud of.

Being a woman is a marvelous thing. We get to play so many roles in life.
We can be mothers if we want, take on the role of a boss lady, be fierce travelers, or do something for the world.
But more than anything, I believe women are meant to be wild and free at heart. That’s the true feminine spirit.
But every passing day, the world is becoming more obsessed with productivity (both for men and women), and less thought is being given to our souls.
It becomes important to pause and ask ourselves, “Am I really living my life?”
The female soul has so much to offer to the world and take from it in return. Unless you actively start pursuing a better and happier life, it won’t come to you.
That’s why I’m here with the ultimate bucket list for women.

These 35 ideas will help you be more daring, happier, and inspire you to create the life that you probably don’t even let yourself dream of.
Let’s see what calls out to you!
The Ultimate Bucket List For Women
1. Explore Paris
Ever since I saw ‘Emily in Paris’, visiting the City of Love has become a dream of mine.
I have come to realize that this city is not only for lovebirds, but it has so much to offer people at every stage of life, especially women.
The pastries, the fashion, the art, the streets, everything about this city just oozes charm and femininity.
You can, of course, replace this with your own dream city. Maybe it’s Rome, Bali, or Tokyo. Just let yourself romanticize your life and go!

2. Travel solo to your dream destination
I know the idea of solo travel can be scary, but there is no other way to explore your dream destination.
Why? Because it’s your dream place. You’ll be able to experience it best when it’s just you.
You’ll discover how capable, intuitive, and brave you truly are.
There’s something wildly freeing about planning your own itinerary, eating wherever you like, and walking through a new city with no one’s opinion swaying your path.
It will change your life, believe me.
3. Become financially strong
As a woman, there is no greater power than being able to take care of yourself financially.
No matter what your plans for life are, you need money to be able to fulfill your dreams, take care of your loved ones, and stay strong during hard times.
Here are ideas that can help you build good wealth:
- Start a small side business that interests you
- Grow a YouTube channel or a blog
- Start an online printable shop
- Learn how to invest
- Turn your passion into income
- Pursue a career that actually makes you happy (you’ll do better at it)
The confidence that comes with financial freedom is unmatched. This will help you actually pursue your bucket list, even the wildly expensive ideas that may seem out of reach.
Your future self will thank you for this.

4. Become location-independent
Being location-independent doesn’t mean being constantly on the move. It means having the freedom to choose where to live.
And I do realize that this goal can seem hard to achieve, but unless you really try with determination, it won’t happen.
Women who are location-independent job-wise are so because they pursued a career that could give them this. They were intentional about it, and so it happened.
Imagine being able to work from a beach in Goa, a café in Lisbon, or your cozy little apartment without having to go to an office.
You’d be free to do so much, and even not doing anything at all would be fun.
5. Try your hand at pottery
Guess what your girl did for her birthday this year? Took a pottery class with her bestie and had the time of her life.
I know this may not sound like a birthday party, but for someone who loves silent activities, it was the best thing I could have done.
There’s something deeply grounding about touching clay. It’s slow, intentional, and really soothing.
If you’ve never taken a pottery class before, book one asap and see how it makes you feel.
Either you’ll love it so much you’ll become a permanent creator, or you’ll have a good one-time experience and can tick it off your bucket list.

6. Achieve your dream body at least once in life
The female body is ever changing, and I do not promote the concept of an ideal body size.
But when it comes to our body, we all have certain desires and an image that we wish we could be.
At some point in your life, give it your all and see where you can take your health and fitness.
This is not about chasing a certain size or fitting into society’s beauty standard.
This is about getting to a version of yourself that you feel proud of. It’s also about challenging your resilience.
Do it for your energy, your glow, and your soul. The memory of your beauty transformation will be very empowering to look back on.
7. Go on a challenging trek
I don’t know whether you’re a trek enthusiast or not, but I think every woman should take a long trek once.
For one, preparing for it will be quite fun. You’ll have to start walking, running, and eating healthier days in advance, and it’ll be a nice little glow-up for your body.
Secondly, the experience will be beautiful, as most treks are.
So yes, educate yourself on the best treks in your country, and make it happen soon.

8. Take yourself out on regular dates
You don’t need to wait for someone else to make your life feel romantic or fun. Solo dating is a very real thing now, ladies.
Go to a café with a book, dress up for a movie night alone, and try that new Thai place you’ve been eyeing.
Take yourself out regularly and make yourself feel good. This will make you fall in love with the art of being alone.
9. Learn self-defense
Self-defense for women is very much about safety, but it’s also about empowerment.
Knowing you can protect yourself builds confidence and strength that radiates on the outside.
You’ll feel like a badass woman and goddess all at once. It’ll give you the courage you need to pursue the other items on this bucket list.
10. Create your own cozy morning routine
Ever seen those cute morning routines on YouTube? Where the woman is rolling up the blinds, making tea, and sitting on the balcony reading?
That’s a cozy morning routine right there, and you should totally have one too.
Maybe it starts with journaling, a walk, a hot cup of tea, or reading a chapter of your favorite book. Your mornings should set the tone for the life you want to live.
And even if you’re not able to follow it every day, you can do it on the weekends and make yourself feel like a movie character.

11. Go on a wellness retreat
The idea of going on a wellness retreat is often scary because you know it has the power to really change you and the way you look at life.
Imagine waking up to ocean waves, doing sunrise yoga, sipping green juice, and journaling under palm trees.
It’ll make you realize how you often focus on the wrong things and don’t pay enough attention to the good in life (like nature).
It’s a must-do for every woman out there who lives in the city.
12. Watch the sunrise from a mountaintop
There’s something soul-shifting about watching the world wake up from a height. It’s a metaphor for a lot of things in life — hope, patience, beauty.
If you’ve never experienced sunrise from the top before, add it to your bucket list asap and tick it off.
Capture the moment in your phone so that you can look back on it and relive the beauty of the moment again and again.
13. Take a dance class just for fun
Am I a dancer by any means? Not at all. But every few months, I make sure to join a dance class and go wild.
Dance is such a liberating and joyful thing, especially for women.
We are meant to dance through life with all our grace and wilderness, and there’ no better way to remind ourselves of that than to literally dance.
You don’t have to be good at it. You just have to show up. Salsa, belly dance, or hip hop. Anything that lets your body move freely.

14. Read books by inspiring women
Memoirs by Maya Angelou, essays by Joan Didion, poetry by Rupi Kaur, or modern self-growth reads by women like Brené Brown or Glennon Doyle.
These books don’t just teach, they empower.
It’s like meeting women who’ve walked before you, who’ve felt deeply, risen from setbacks, challenged norms, or created magic out of the everyday.
Their stories remind you that you’re not alone in your struggles or dreams. So please build a little shelf of soul-fuel, and let the words of wonderful women light something up in you.
15. Revisit a place from your childhood
We all have places we used to love as kids but haven’t been to in years. Wouldn’t it be amazing to go back to one such place?
It could be a town you spent a year in, an old school, or a cute little bakery.
Nostalgia has a way of grounding us and showing us how far we’ve come.

16. Stay in a luxury resort alone
You might have spent time in a hotel with friends and family, but have you ever enjoyed a day at a fancy place alone? It’s something every woman should try to make herself feel like a queen.
Choose a resort that feels like a dream come true (infinity pools, mountain views, or beachfront), and spoil yourself, girl!
Order room service, take long baths, get a massage, journal on the balcony, and lie down under fresh sheets doing absolutely nothing.
You’ll come back softer, clearer, and reminded of how lovely your own company can be.
17. Get a meaningful tattoo
Tattoos may not seem like your thing, but I am sure there have been times when you have thought of getting one.
It doesn’t have to be big or visible. Maybe it’s a tiny quote, a symbol, or a little nature art (like a leaf or a flower).
Having something that holds meaning, a reminder of who you are or what you’ve survived, can be deeply empowering.

18. Start a creative passion project
It could be a blog, a podcast, a poetry collection, a printable shop on Etsy, or a handmade jewelry shop. Let it be something just for you.
Not for likes, not for money (unless it turns into that!). But simply because your soul lights up while doing it.
We all need that outlet where we feel most ourselves.
Check out these 15 creative side projects and pick something that calls out to you.
19. Watch the sunrise and sunset in one day
It’s such a simple thing, but watching the world wake up and wind down on the same day can shift your perspective completely.
Do it on your birthday, while traveling, or just on a random weekend. Somewhere quiet, with your thoughts and the sky.
20. Host a girls’ weekend getaway
There’s magic in women gathering. It makes you feel loved and sends you into your ultimate feminine zone.
Plan a cozy girls’ night with snacks and deep chats, or take it up a notch and organize a weekend trip.
You can also rent a cozy cabin, wear matching pajamas, play silly games, and talk about everything and nothing.
Female friendships are sacred. You should nourish them as often as you can.

21. Let go of a limiting belief about yourself
We all have some beliefs about ourselves that really drag us down. Even if someone tells us otherwise, we don’t believe them.
It could be like, ‘I am not creative at all,’ or ‘I am too old for this,’ or the classic ‘I am not pretty.’
Think about what your most limiting belief is, and then work on letting it go asap.
Rewrite the narrative, girl. Because you get to decide who you are.
22. Take a spontaneous trip
My best trips have been the ones that were planned on a whim.
If you haven’t already taken a spontaneous trip, then take one whenever. No overplanning, no overthinking. You just pack a bag and go.
See what the world has in store when you’re not trying to control the experience.

23. Create a vision board for your dream life
A vision board may seem like just another trend, but it’s actually a very smart concept.
Especially for us women, who have so many roles to play and tend to neglect ourselves, a vision board can be a reminder of all our goals and aspirations in life.
Create a vision board and get super specific with what you want to manifest.
Where are you waking up? What do you wear every day? What do you eat, how do you feel, who are you with?
Bring your future self to life visually and see how it inspires you to make it all real.
24. Live alone
Living with someone, be it with family, friends, or roommates, is nice and fun. But your personal growth happens when you are by yourself.
Living alone teaches you to get things done without depending on anyone else.
You learn to shop, budget, cook, and clean, and you begin to enjoy your own company.
You don’t have to live alone forever, but at some point in life, when you have the option to do so, do it. It will teach you things that you couldn’t learn in any other scenario.

25. Unfollow people who make you feel ‘less than’
Hate it or love it, the digital world is here to stay, and we are all a part of it. But if you’re going to be online, you should make sure it’s as positive as it can be.
The best thing you can do for this is unfollow people who make you feel less than.
Protect your energy by not engaging with channels and content that put you down.
Follow women who lift you up, make you feel seen, and inspire you to improve.
26. Learn to cook three really impressive meals
I used to think cooking was not for me at all, but then a family situation forced me to enter the kitchen and start cooking for people.
It was not fun in the beginning, but then I started enjoying the nuances of it.
Even though I still wouldn’t call cooking a favorite hobby, I can cook some impressive meals (like butter chicken), which is a big thing for me as a woman.
So, even if you’re not a fan of cooking, make it a target to master three awesome meals that you can pamper yourself and your loved ones with.

27. Try a new hairstyle you’ve always wanted to
That pixie cut? That bold color? The bangs you’ve always been scared of? Just go for it.
Hair grows back, but confidence gained from trying something new lasts much longer.
28. Have a glow-up journey
A glow-up is a phase of life where you intentionally build good habits for your physical and mental health, and then become your happiest self by the end.
Every woman should try it at least once in her life, just to see what her best version looks like.

29. Create your own holidays and traditions
I mean, what is life without traditions and holidays that exist only for you?
Maybe every spring you take a solo picnic. Or every October, you bake a new pumpkin dessert.
Create rituals that are all yours so that you have things to look forward to every season.

30. Be the main character
Stop waiting in the wings of your own life and start romanticizing your routine life. Nobody else can make you feel like the main character of your story besides you.
Romanticize your commute, make playlists for your moods, make your meals fancy, pour yourself coffee in a cute mug, and walk with confidence in good clothes.
This is your story, girl. So it should feel like it!
