I’m kicking off this post with the one habit that has saved me countless times in life — Daily walks, even if it’s just for 20 minutes.
Walking outside in nature is like therapy for the mind, body, and soul.
There is no other replacement for it. Not a treadmill, not a sweaty home workout, and not even lifting heavy sets of weights.
Daily walks improve your mood, increase creativity, and provide a gentle form of exercise that’s easy to stick with.
You can plug music in or listen to your favorite podcaster while walking at a pace that suits your mood.
It’ll make you stronger both inside out, and help you tick off your me-time while moving your body.
2. Have A Cup Of Green Tea
I first started drinking green tea about five years ago.
Since then, I’ve tried a dozen other daily beverages, but nothing makes me feel the way green tea does.
Not only is it packed with antioxidants, but it also gives you a gentle energy boost without the jitters that come from drinking coffee.
I won’t ask you to quit all the other teas and coffees you love having, but if possible, include a cup of green tea in your diet.
You can enjoy it with a cookie or add some honey to it to make the taste pleasant.
3. Write Something
Writing is a powerful tool that can make every person’s life richer, and I mean it when I say every person.
Whenever you write something, you give your mind an outlet for its rampant thoughts.
Consider it a kind of mental decluttering, which is just as important as cleaning your personal space.

You can safely drink two bottles a day, but only after your meals, not before that as the probiotics need food in your stomach to work with.
5. Track Your Daily Expenses
Financial management is a big game that I don’t claim to know enough about.
But regardless of your money knowledge, it isn’t hard to track your daily expenses.
This simple habit can make you more aware of your spending habits and have more control over your money.
Use a notebook or an app to keep tabs on where your money goes. Even your phone notes would work fine.
It’s a pretty smart and simple way to stop fearing your bank balance and instead learn to command it.
Speaking from experience here, so trust me when I say that it helps.
P.S.: I also like to write down an affirmation at the end of my daily expense tab to foster an abundance mindset.
A simple statement like ‘I am grateful for all that I have’ can do wonders for your relationship with money.
6. Finish One Language Lesson On Duolingo
Many of us have a lifelong goal to learn a new language but few actually achieve it.
Unless you’re making time every single day to practice your language, it’s going to be hard to make any real progress.
The Duolingo app is perfect for this. You can take free lessons in any language, and opt for a subscription if you want more features (which is very affordable).
They have the whole curriculum set up for you; all you have to do is show up and finish your lessons.
Take at least one daily lesson to become proficient in a new language that excites you.
It’s always fun to play student on your own terms for a personal goal.
7. Count Your Blessings Before Bed
Gratitude has a powerful effect on your happiness and mental health.
The more you remind yourself of things to be grateful for, the more satisfied you’ll be.
Every night before bed, take a moment to count your blessings out loud.
Reflecting on the positive aspects of your day will shift your focus from what’s wrong to what’s right.
No matter how hectic your day’s been, you’ll go to bed feeling better and wake up looking forward to receiving the good things.

Make it a habit to pause and appreciate the natural world around you, even if it’s for five minutes a day.
Drink your coffee outdoors, watch the sunrise, water your plants with a smile, or just close your eyes and take a few deep breaths of fresh air in the morning.

Most of the people I know fall asleep after spending an hour scrolling through their social media.

I am not asking you to give up all your screen privileges, but I think it’s very much possible to replace some of your screen time with reading.
Why reading, you ask? Because it is the ultimate life-changing habit, period.
Whether you prefer thrilling novels, non-fiction that makes you think, or a home magazine that sparks your interests, reading daily can change the way you look at life.
It stimulates your imagination and intellect in ways that scrolling through social media cannot.
Watch your beloved shows and movies, but also make time for reading.
It’s a strong habit and hobby that won’t ever abandon you in your time of need.

- Read at least one page from a self-help book every day
- Carry a book with you while commuting
- Keep some books on your nightstand to reach for when you’re in bed

10. Carry A Water Bottle With You
It’s no secret that staying hydrated is key to good health.
From glow-up to high energy, so many of your wellness factors depend on how good your water intake is.
But despite knowing all this, it can be hard to achieve your optimal hydration goal of drinking 8 glasses of water.
That’s where a water bottle comes in. Whether you’re at work, running errands, or exercising, carry your water bottle with you and sip at proper intervals stay hydrated all day long.
A reusable bottle is not only eco-friendly but also a practical reminder to stay healthy while reducing plastic waste.
11. Set Daily Goals
My last habit recommendation for you is to set daily goals without fail.
A person who sets goals every day, no matter how small or big, knows the value of time and can keep themselves disciplined at all points in life.
When you wake up every morning, give yourself three goals (exercise, walking, working on a side hustle, or even a chore like getting the laundry done).
Take your chosen goals seriously and prioritize them over other stuff.
Even on your rest days, give yourself goals like meditation, a long bath, and quiet time.
Seeing those tick marks next to your goals at the end of the day can be really motivating and prompt you to do better.
Also, don’t forget that it’s the small everyday goals that eventually lead to the completion of big goals in life.
