The sooner you leave the bed, the better it is, but any time before 8 am is good.
You’ll love stepping outside for some fresh air; nature is at its peak beauty during the morning in summer.
You can add morning exercise to your routine and get your workouts done at the start of the day.

1. Journaling
Sit in a quiet spot of your house (somewhere with fresh air), and write a few pages in your journal. If you’re an organized bee like me, dedicate a notebook for your morning entries.
This time of day is perfect to express your gratitude through journaling.
I highly recommend getting a gratitude journal for some morning positivity. It will turn your whole day around.
2. Yoga
Yoga is great for stress relief, muscle relaxation, and syncing your body with your mind. Doing it in the morning will make your day calmer and happier.

2. Drink More Than 10 Glasses Of Water
Hydration is the key to keeping your body healthy throughout the season.
The hot temperature will dehydrate you fast, so your consumption should increase accordingly.
Aim for 8-10 glasses of water per day. Use a water tracking app, or set a reminder for every 1.5 hours.
Buy an insulated water bottle so that your water stays cold, and carry it wherever you go. Sip from it regularly to stay hydrated throughout the day.
A fun way to make your water interesting is to add fruits to it.

I’m not telling you anything new when I say you need to put on sunscreen in summer. It is the one summer skincare essential that you can’t miss out on.
The sun during summer is extremely harsh, and its UV rays can damage your skin. You need sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to guard your skin.
I have a sensitive skin type, so picking the right products is always a game of cat and mouse for me.
But I recently started trying products from Neutrogena, and their Sheer Zinc Sunscreen is turning out to be a blessing for my acne-prone skin.
Apply your sunscreen about 15 minutes before you have to step outside, and do a reapplication every 2-3 hours for maximum protection.

Replace your sugary beverages with a fresh glass of juice and enjoy in your backyard during the evening. Your breakfast should include fruits as well.
While preparing a meal, add any veggies that would go along with your dish. While at the restaurant, order dishes with vegetables.
During family dinners, load up your plate with veggies and pay attention to the salad bowl as well. Cucumbers, bell peppers, zucchini, corn, and beans are some of the best options.

Walking is a simple cardio exercise but it’s so good for your health. It helps you with weight maintenance, strengthens your bones, and improves your mental health.
Every year, people make a resolution to walk 10,000 steps a day for the rest of the year and mostly fail to achieve it.
That’s probably because number is too high, and this habit might be hard to keep up with during all the seasons.
But for your summer health goals – a daily step count of 7,000 steps is perfect.
You can easily cover 3,000 of those steps through your regular movements, and the rest can be achieved by going out on a short walk.
Getting a fitness band can be of great help. My brother gave me this Fitbit band for my birthday, and it’s the most magical thing ever.
The things I can do with this band never cease to amaze me and I still haven’t made use of all the crazy features it has.

During summer, you need to double down on your self-care, simply because there’s plenty of room in your schedule for it (and also because you can never have enough of it.)

1. Create A Bath Routine
You’ll probably get sweaty easily in summer. So, having a bath routine is recommended to relax your body and soothe your mind at the same time.
Use a body scrub, some nice-smelling lotions, and bath salts to make your skin happy.

Alright, we’re down to the last item on this list of healthy summer habits, and I might have saved the best one for the last.
While there’s no doubt that summer is a lovely season, it can also be tiring for the body.
That’s why you need a good night’s sleep to recharge your system and get ready for the next day.
Aim for 8-9 hours of sleep every night. Anything less might tire you out, but I know some people feel really great even after 6-7 hours of sleep.
Your nighttime habits determine the quality of your coming day.
Sleeping on time and getting plenty of bedtime hours will help you wake up early and stay fresh all day.
While staying up past 11 pm is a recipe for a late wake up time and a lazy day.
So, in a way, you can take charge of your summer by getting for bedtime habits right.
My advice for this would be to create a soothing self-care night routine. It’ll help you put your bedtime thoughts to rest and go to sleep without any worries.
Another exceptional tip: Get a humidifier for your nightstand ASAP.
