9 Things To Do Every Day For Good Health
1. Start Your Morning With A Glass Of Water
Morning hydration is a small yet powerful way to show love and care for yourself.
After hours of sleep, your body wakes up in a state of dehydration. It is essential to replenish the lost fluids the moment you are up.
Starting your morning with a glass of water not only jumpstarts your metabolism but also helps flush out the toxins from your system that accumulate overnight.
No matter how hazy I am from sleep, the moment I take the first sip of water, I feel instantly rejuvenated and ready to tackle my day.
This morning habit is hailed by wellness experts all over the world, and should definitely be a non-negotiable part of your health checklist.
2. Stretch And Relax
Stretching is a great way to unwind your thoughts and relieve tension in your body.
The best thing is that you don’t need to be a workout enthusiast to make stretching a regular part of your routine.
You can do your stretches on a yoga mat or follow a bed stretching routine on YouTube. It hardly takes 10-15 minutes, but it’s more than enough to get your body moving and relax yourself.
Your quiet stretching moments will help you tune out the external noise, and reconnect with your body and mind in the most peaceful and positive ways.

3. Include protein in your breakfast
Including protein in your breakfast is a smart choice for several compelling reasons.
First and foremost, protein provides the sustained energy your body needs to kickstart your day, keeping hunger at bay and preventing mid-morning energy crashes.
Moreover, it plays a pivotal role in muscle repair and growth, aiding in better physical fitness.
Protein-rich foods like eggs, yogurt, nuts, seeds, and lean meats enhance your metabolism and stabilize your blood sugar levels, promoting better focus and mood throughout the day.
Even if you’re not going for a healthy breakfast every morning (hello, we need our pancakes), aim to add at least one protein-rich item to your breakfast for a healthy start to the day.
Look up tasty egg recipes on YouTube that are quick and easy to prepare. Just because it’s healthy, doesn’t mean it can’t be delicious, you know.
4. Snack On Healthy Food
I’ve found that regular snacking isn’t a health issue for me, as long as I’m making mindful choices with my snacks.
I mean, is it okay to eat a packet of chips while watching the TV?
Sure! What kind of life would it be where food and entertainment don’t exist in the same room?
But every other day, it won’t hurt to go for a fruit bowl instead of a packed item.
Picking fruits, nuts, and juices during your snacktime is a smart way to avoid binging on unhealthy snacks, keep yourself full, and manage your cravings.
To get yourself started, just make it a point to eat at least one fruit a day. It’s a simple habit that will make you love reaching for healthy food to satisfy your snack cravings.

5. Wash, Tone, and Moisturize Your face
From Korean skincare to anti-acne skin routines, I’ve tried a lot of skincare regimes over the years.
But if I have to give an award for the best and simplest skincare routine, the good old process of washing, toning, and moisturizing would whisk it away.
Whether you are a makeup-loving queen or a natural glam woman, this 3-step skincare routine is a must-do for healthy skin.
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser to remove dirt, excess oil, and impurities, and help your skin in prevention of clogged pores and breakouts.
Follow up with a toner to balance your skin’s pH levels, refine your pores, and enhance the absorption of subsequent products.
Finally, moisturize your skin to prevent dryness and keep your skin hydrated. Use an SPF-containing moisturizer for sun protection.
Make sure to use products tailored to your skin type.
Commit to this 3-step skincare ritual for noticeable results, and give your skin the care it deserves to look and feel its best every day.

6. Stay Hydrated
Our bodies depend on water for countless essential functions – regulating body temperature, aiding digestion, and keeping the skin healthy.
But beyond its physical benefits, hydration also plays a vital role in enhancing our mental health. I mean, isn’t water the first thing you hand out to someone who’s feeling distressed?
Hydration contributes to a more stable and positive mood, reducing feelings of irritability and anxiety, and making it easier to deal with stress.
Good hydration even improves sleep quality, ensuring we wake up feeling rejuvenated and mentally refreshed.
To make hydration a daily habit, start by carrying a reusable water bottle with you throughout the day.
Set regular reminders to sip water, especially if you have a busy schedule. I aim for 10-12 glasses a day, and even more on days when I am physically very active.
Incorporate juicy fruits and vegetables into your diet to get that extra dose of hydration. It really helps!

7. Have A Cup Of Green Tea
I know some people hate the way it tastes, but green tea can be really good for your overall well-being.
Green tea has the amino acid L-theanine, which has calming properties that can help you reduce stress and anxiety.
Even though I started drinking it for its physical benefits (anti-inflammation, reduced bloating, weight loss, etc.), my green tea sessions evolved to become the calmest part of my routine.
You can add honey and lemon to enhance its taste, and try the different flavors available in the market to keep your taste buds intrigued.
One cup of green tea every day will make you feel healthy from within and keep you inspired to lead a balanced life.
8. Track Your Meals In A Food Journal
There is a lot of pressure in society to look and feel a certain way, which can negatively impact your relationship with food.
I struggled with my food for a long time before realizing that I was not what I ate.
I have now moved past my calorie-counting days and fully embraced food journaling to practice mindful eating.
This simple habit lets me make mindful food choices and enjoy my favorite treats without experiencing guilt.
You can also use a meal-planning app instead if that is more convenient for you.

9. Journal Before Bed
I’ve saved the best for last.
No matter how good you are at staying organized, it can be hard to maintain even your healthy habits, no matter how simple they are, if you don’t have something to ground you mentally.
For me (and for a lot of people I know), journaling is the one habit that lays the foundation for having good mental health.
I usually journal before bed. There are no distractions, no space for excuses, and plenty of time to pen down your thoughts before closing your day.

Writing down your thoughts helps declutter your mind, making it easier to relax and let go of any negative thoughts plaguing your mind.
Whether you’re jotting down your thoughts, documenting your dreams, or simply recounting your day’s highlights, this nightly ritual will help you put your thoughts to bed and fall asleep peacefully.
It’s Time To Prioritize Your Health
In the everyday hustle of life, it’s easy to overlook the small actions that can have a profound impact on your overall well-being.
But often it’s the simple daily habits that lead to significant long-term changes.
It will take time, but you’ll soon find it easy to make these habits stick and use them as the stabilizing points for maintaining a good lifestyle.
Be patient, be kind, and always remember that investing in your health today is the key to a vibrant and fulfilling tomorrow.
