Here are 31 refreshing bucket list ideas for the month of June that will help you enjoy the summer and make the best of every day.

July can be a confusing month.
Half the month is summer, moving in full swing, and the other half is spent panicking about how fast the year is moving.
Or at least, that is the case for me.
My July days are made of iced coffees and promises to myself of a sweet summer, but there are plenty of nights where I’m just in bed in my pajamas and not doing…anything.
To cut a long story short, July can become boring and repetitive if you’re not careful (unless you’re on vacation, of course, in which case, know that I am jealous).
This is exactly why I love making a July bucket list.
It’s a perfect way to make use of those long summer days and come out of the season feeling fulfilled.

If July is usually dull for you, or you just want more happy memories, more me-time, and more reasons to romanticize your summer, then here are 31 July bucket list ideas to try.
31 July Bucket List Ideas
1. Wake up early one morning to enjoy the silence
People usually wake up early for productive mornings, but I say do it for the vibe.
July mornings can be gorgeous to witness, and also cooler compared to the other parts of the day.
You can make yourself tea or coffee, sit near a window, and let yourself enjoy the peace. You can also go for a quick walk outdoors.
Even if you only do this once in July, it will be enough to act like a reset button for your brain. Power of early mornings, ladies and gentlemen.
2. Make a July playlist and romanticize your everyday errands
I genuinely think good music fixes at least 40% of life (okay, I totally made up that number, but you get the point).
You should create a playlist specifically for this month.
Add songs that feel warm, dreamy, emotional, fun, a bit dramatic, or perfect for rainy evening.
Then play it while doing the most normal things ever, like grocery shopping, cleaning your room, organizing your closet, or walking to buy snacks.
It will make your boring moments feel like a scene from a movie.
3. Try a homemade iced drink

July is basically iced drink season.
I have a tendency to grab drinks from outside during this month, but this year, I am resisting because homemade things are for the win.
You could make iced matcha, cold coffee, strawberry milk, Thai iced tea, lemonade, peach iced tea, or just sparkling water with fruit slices.
And please use a cute glass if you have one. Tiny detail, but massive mood improvement.
4. Declutter one small space that has been annoying you
I am not asking you to do your entire room, because we are not here to ruin the month with stress.
Just pick one tiny area that secretly irritates you every single day.
Maybe it’s your messy bedside table, overflowing makeup pouch, tangled drawer, or the chair covered in clothes that aren’t dirty but aren’t clean either.
You know the one. Now take care of it and make it tidy again. A little can go a long way.
5. Watch the sunset at least twice this month
I feel like adults don’t look at the sky enough.
We’re always staring at our screens and forgetting that sunsets are literally free and somehow still beautiful every single time.
So, put your phone down for a bit and just watch one properly. July sunsets can feel extra pretty, especially if it’s rained.
And if you can bring a drink or snack with you? Elite experience.
6. Recreate a Pinterest breakfast

I know the idea of a Pinterest breakfast spread can be a lot, but you can totally do a real-life version of it.
No need to dirty fourteen dishes. Just make breakfast look prettier than usual on a morning when you have time.
Cut fruit nicely, toast some bread, make eggs, and pour coffee into a cute mug.
Click a picture on your phone, tuck it away, and then dive in to enjoy a scroll-free breakfast.
7. Start a ‘good things happened today’ journal
If keeping a deep journal tires you, then just write down tiny good things in a notebook every night.
Maybe your iced coffee tasted amazing this morning. Or maybe your hair cooperated for once.
Maybe someone complimented your outfit. Or maybe you laughed at something stupid for a full minute.
These tiny moments can disappear so quickly if we don’t notice them. So, write them down and reread them whenever you need comfort later.
8. Have a cozy movie night
I don’t care how busy or lost you are, or how many fancy plans you have, you need to have a movie night, because it’s peak July behavior.
Pick a comfort movie, dim your lights, wear your softest clothes, and fully commit to a cozy evening.
Try to make snacks at home instead of just opening a packet of chips. It’ll take an extra hour, but layering activities is always fun.
9. Make your room soft, summer-coded

Making your room match the season is a great way to sync yourself with the season.
Here are some simple room makeover tips you can try in July:
- Change your bedsheets
- Add fairy lights
- Light a citrus or aquatic-scented candle for an hour a day
- Move your furniture around slightly (for the sake of novelty)
- Clean your mirror
- Put flowers in a vase
- Create a tiny corner for reading or journaling
- Put up a summer picture on your desk or on the wall

10. Go on a slow evening walk after it rains
July evenings after rain are so magical. I seriously cannot think of a favorite summer thing for myself.
The air feels cooler, everything smells fresh, and life feels…good. Like, really good.
So, if you find the rain stopping during the day, then head outside for a walk afterward.
Don’t wander too far in case it starts raining again. Just enjoy slow walking and notice your rain-drenched surroundings.
You’ll come back feeling healed, because that’s what rain does for us.
I quench the thirst of one;
I cure the ailment of the other.—Kahlil Gibran (Song of the Rain)
11. Learn one easy ‘put together’ hairstyle
I love low-effort beauty tricks that make you look like you have your life together even when you absolutely do not.
And doing a proper hairstyle is the most natural option you can go for here.
Learn one hairstyle this month that takes under five minutes but still makes you feel prettier.
You can try a slick bun, soft braid, claw clip hairstyle, heatless curls, or just a cleaner ponytail.
It’s a little upgrade, but it will make a huge difference to your energy whenever you need it.
12. Create a mini summer capsule wardrobe

July is a good time to stop wearing random clothes that make you feel ‘meh’.
Go through your wardrobe and pull out outfits that actually make you feel cute, comfortable, and confident.
Even if you just create 5-6 easy outfit combinations, it will help you so much on lazy mornings.
Also, please stop saving your favorite clothes for a better occasion. Your normal life deserves cute outfits too.
13. Spend one full evening offline
I know spending a few hours without your phone sounds horrifying, but it’s necessary to do this every month.
A lot of us consume way too much content every day.
Your brain deserves one quiet evening without constantly absorbing everybody else’s thoughts and routines and opinions.
Spend the time reading, drawing, baking something, journaling, or sitting outside with a glass of iced tea.
Don’t be surprised when you sleep better afterward. Digital detox can do that for you.
14. Make a list of things that currently make you happy
Write down things you genuinely enjoy lately.
It can be certain foods, songs, drinks, people, routines, hobbies, TV shows, lip glosses, evening walks, or rain sounds.
This will help you stop focusing on fixing your life and notice what’s already good around you.
15. Try a new hobby for one week

We usually look at hobbies as something to do forever, but the whole point of them is to create a window for joy.
So, this July, I urge you to pick up a summer hobby and do it just for one week.
You can try crocheting, painting, baking, Pilates, journaling, photography, scrapbooking, dancing, or learning random recipes from TikTok.
Or if you’ve got a ukulele or guitar lying around like me, you can pick it up again and refamiliarize yourself with it.
You don’t need to monetize every hobby or become amazing at it. Some things can exist purely because they make your evenings nice and cozy.
16. Start taking better care of your mornings
I am not asking you to make your mornings perfect, but just better.
You can do this by not checking your phone for the first 30 minutes or drinking a tall glass of water.
You can open your curtains and stand by the window for two minutes, or eat a proper breakfast.
Do one or two things to make your mornings better. It will make your whole day better, too.
17. Have a solo cafe date
I will forever defend solo dates. They are the best ways to raise your confidence and spend quality time by yourself.
Take yourself somewhere cozy, order something nice, and spend time alone without acting awkward about it.
Bring a book, journal, or just sit there and people-watch dramatically like the main character you are.

18. Bake something simple on a rainy day

Usually, I don’t bake in the summer, but rainy days always prompt me to create a few baked goods.
Even if you’re not amazing at baking, the whole process is just so comforting. The smell alone can make your home feel cozy and alive.
Whenever it rains in July, get yourself to make something.
I can be banana bread, cookies, brownies, or just a mug cake. Enjoy it with tea or coffee while watching the rain through the window.
19. Make your showers luxurious
July heat makes showers feel truly therapeutic. So, level up the calm factor by making your showers more luxurious.
Use a body scrub, play music, shave if you want to, use a good-smelling lotion afterward, and put on fresh pajamas.
Basically, turn your shower into a proper little self-care moment. You’ll be ticking off both cleansing and pampering in one go.
20. Rearrange your phone and delete digital clutter
Your phone can quietly become stressful without you noticing. So, digital decluttering is a must once a month.
Delete blurry screenshots, organize apps, clean your camera roll, unfollow accounts that make you feel bad, and definitely change your wallpaper for a fresh vibe.
A cleaner digital space weirdly helps your mind feel calmer too.
21. Read outside if the weather allows

Balcony reading sessions in July can be awesome if the weather is good.
On the rare days when it’s pleasant outside, step out with your tea and a book for twenty minutes.
You’ll come back feeling oddly cozy, healed, and happy.
22. Have a ‘clean girl’ reset evening
You know those evenings where you clean your room, wash your hair, organize your life a little, and do whatever you can to make your life stable again?
That’s what you call a clean girl reset, and July, being the beginning of the second-half of the year, is a perfect time to do that.
Fresh bedsheets, skincare, tidy room, shaved legs, iced drink, cozy pajamas — do the whole thing.
To me, a life reset always feels like giving my brain a hug. There’s nothing else that quite feels as satisfying or rewarding.
23. Create a tiny bedtime routine
I feel like we underestimate how much better nights can feel with a little structure.
This month, build a cozy summer night routine. You can do skincare, have a cup of tea, write in a journal, and listen to soft music while drifting off to sleep.
Repeat the same routine the entire month, and enjoy winding down every night.
24. Buy yourself flowers or fruit just because

Buy flowers for your room or your favorite seasonal fruit, and enjoy the small happiness of it.
This will remind you that you don’t need someone else to bring you pretty things.
You are the only person you need to romanticize your life and make your days magical.
25. Make a comfort food dinner
July can feel emotionally exhausting sometimes because of the long days and changing weather.
On one of those days, make your favorite comfort meal and fully enjoy it without guilt.
You can make garlic bread, pasta, ramen, homemade sandwiches, pancakes for dinner…whatever feels comforting to you.
Food memories are real memories too.
26. Do a mini glow-up night
Don’t do this for anyone else. Do it because feeling good is fun.
For a mini glow-up night, you can oil your hair, do a proper shower and hair wash, and then slip into comfy clothes.
Do your skincare slowly, paint your nails, whiten your teeth, and gua sha your face.
You’ll go to bed feeling pretty and relaxed, and wake up with the same energy.
27. Visit a bookstore or stationery shop

I genuinely think stationery stores heal people.
I mean, just think how comforted you feel at the thought of pens, notebooks, sticky notes, cute planners, and fresh books.
Visit a bookstore or stationery shop near you. You can walk around the store shopping or just looking, and let your creativity come to life.
A bit dangerous for your wallet, I admit. But simply amazing for your soul.
28. Say yes to one spontaneous plan
Not every memory needs planning spreadsheets.
If a friend asks you to go out for coffee, take a drive, watch a movie, or grab dessert, try saying yes once this month instead of automatically choosing your bed.
In fact, feel free to be the one who initiates plans.
Some of the best summer memories happen randomly, and you’re the only one who can make them happen by being more open.
29. Deep clean your bedsheets and blankets
On the weekend, deep clean your bedsheets, blankets, and pillow covers.
You can put on a new set or wait for the current set to dry if you want to enjoy sleeping in freshly cleaned bedding.
A candle, cold room temperature, and a soft pajama set will make it even better.
30. Make an August goals page before July ends
Write down what kind of energy you want for August.
You might want healthier mornings, more movement, less doomscrolling, better confidence, and cozy reading sessions.
Or maybe you just want to focus on simple things like morning hydration, 10-minute movement, and daily showers.
Whatever it is you think you need and can realistically work on, write it down on a page titled ‘My August goals’ and keep it with you as you start the month.
31. End July with gratitude instead of pressure

Please don’t spend the last few days of July stressing about everything you didn’t accomplish.
You are allowed to have slow, confusing, emotional, or resting months.
Instead of feeling pressurized, just think about the tiny moments that made July special.
Think of the songs you loved, the laughs you had, the nights that felt cozy, and the habits that made your life better.
Close the month feeling gratitude and let go of the seriousness that doesn’t ever do you much good.
